Marked safe from shilling for Big Soda, Aspartame (putting the "die" in "diet" since 1983), but drinking a Diet Coke makes it healthier π and more Big Soda memes as influencers get caught shilling!
it is hilarious how people now started 'fighting' over the right to buy unhealthy food with other people's money. Maybe the whole system of food stamps needs to be abandoned. I don't know if it exists in any other country. Everyone knows soda is unhealthy, and I think if we give money for people to buy food, it should be FOOD indeed.
There should be food banks, not food stamps. They should give out gallon tins of beans,
25-pound bags of rice, and anything anybody wants to donate. If someone can't get there, deliver the rice and beans to them. If they want sweets, they can work for them.
My first job in high school was at a health food store. While working there, I decided I would no longer drink soft drinks or eat fast food. I have been robustly healthy all my life. I just went skiing for the 59th year. And soon it will be waterskiing weather. I don't have to travel as far to waterski. I pay for my ski trips with the money I don't spend on doctors and pills.
As a kid, we had 2 choices for beverages: Milk & water. Today I drink mostly water (& beer socially). I thank my parents for not leading me down the soda path.
We had soda for a little while, my parents probably trying to be 'modern'. Just like we had candy for a while (but very little as we were poor). I get goose bumps when I see poor people in our small Hamlet go to the corner to buy a styrofoam cup of water with colorants and sugar, then to macdonald for the next meal.
I particularly liked Chad Prathers X post "Another War on Soda? How Bureaucratic Overreach Threatens Trump's Working-Class Coalition"..... Ummm Chad what part of SNAP is WORKING Class????
Stop Food Stamps, problem solved.

How βbout we get rid of food stamps. Then consumers will be free to buy whatever they want WITH THEIR OWN EFFING MONEY, NOT MINE!
